I am on the lookout for a level designer for an exciting Sci-fi project. My client are a small studio of around 40 working for a large publisher to create a breathtaking post apocalyptic world. They are looking for someone to bring the game to life, by creating levels which will challenge the player to advance and grow in this stunning world. The studio will consider a talented designer with 2+ years up to Senior.

You will need:
  • Shipped at least one large-scale FPS or third person combat action game as a level designer 
  • 2+ years of professional game production in a level design capacity
  • Extensive understanding of level design process including flow, engagement, structure, pacing, environmental storytelling, testing, etc.
  • Eye for art composition, architectural concepts, and an ability to create realistic, engaging environments
  • Strong understanding of visual scripting principals
  • Quick to learn and master new tools
  • Proactively identify and deal with issues as they arise
  • Ability to self-critique and accept outside critique from project stakeholders
  • A team-player mindset with an understanding of the importance of collaboration
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all disciplines and departments
