This is an exciting new role for someone coming from a Programmatic background looking to move into a more commercial focused role and fully understand how an agency works.The commercial team work with all areas of the agency and assist the product and sales team in research and analysis to spot where new opportunities and products can be beneficial to the agencies clients.
The role is responsible for liaising with both internal and external teams, analysing data and to spot opportunities and threats and highlighting the value of the agencies products.
The team provide best practice in areas such as product margin/salesforce and sales training support. This includes understanding and advising on competitive position, legal and commercial documentation and process, pitch and new business support, internal commercial reporting and analysis, and working closely with agency traders and commercial teams to maximise revenue and seek new opportunities.
This exciting role requires a broad understanding of the digital market and spotting opportunities and challenges to grow revenue and ensure our solutions are relevant and market leading. This role requires numerical analysis and problem solving with excellent commercial acumen and extremely strong communication and attention to detail.
Reporting and Analysis
In depth analysis and recommendations on agency, product, and business unit revenue and margin. Spotting opportunities and threats and working with the teams on solutions.
Commercial and Legal Support
Understanding commercial and legal process of our divisions and communicating this both internally and externally. Part of this is helping our agencies correctly evaluate and price services and offerings.
Product Pricing and support
Working with the product team, this role must be able to understand the value and USPs of our product vs others in market and price it accordingly. This needs to be well thought out with an emphasis of maximising margin whilst providing the excellent value our clients expect.
New business support
This role will work with the agency new business teams and pitch teams for support and collateral on any new business pitches. Ensuring that the correct people are pulled into any such project at the correct time is also the responsibility of this role, as is helping and developing our ‘behind the scenes’ initiative
Ensuring the successful set up and iteration of forecasting systems that build on what we currently have (salesforce/excel etc) but can produce easy to distill information on revenue estimates by partner, Product, Business Unit etc. The second part of this section is of course to note and advise of opportunities and issues with relevant staff
Sales and Pitch / Auditor Support
This role with have a full understanding and experience of how to sell and how pitches work (from a procurement /Legal Auditor POV) and must provide the required information and training both internally and externally in these areas.
This role will interest someone with a few years digital experience who wants to learn more about the commercial side of the business whilst continuing to learn about the changing digital landscape. A savvy and numbers based story teller who can help us understanding and maximise our margin in the environment we work in, whilst keeping our clients happy. Equally this role needs to be inquisitive, a self-starter who is keen to learn about the changing digital environment we operate in – and to readily share this information and remains relevant with a message that stands out in a cluttered market.
