Social Media Account Director

This is an exciting role for an experienced, commercially aware Social Media SAM or existing AD to join a growing content and creative team. The role will be working on a range of key clients and new projects for new business wins. This person needs to have an overarching view across social media, creative, content, strategy and a range of disciplines, direct a team and deliver best in class work on behalf of a range of clients.

As Account Director you will work as a senior member of the team – leading the responses to brief, the planning and oversight of the execution. The role will require a great deal of collaboration with strategists, creatives and specialist disciplines as well as overseeing the delivery of multiple cross-function projects at one time. With a focus on social you will be responsible for leading a group of social content clients and a team of content and community experts. You will build excellent relationships with your clients at the highest level and act as a trusted advisor to them and their other agencies to maximise their community, influencer & content opportunities. You will take a senior role in the team with responsibility for first-class creative planning and delivery, leading by example and developing junior team members. You will have excellent knowledge and understanding of social media, as well as an understanding of the paid and organic social landscape, with proven strategy, planning, activation and new business skills, with a passion to continuously learn and apply new creative thinking to client solutions.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Someone with significant experience in the digital and advertising industry, across one or more of earned, paid and owned activity, either in a specialised team or agency
  • Either SAM or existing AD at a social media specialist agency or within a social team of a media agency.
  • Knowledge of key paid partners such e.g. Make Me Reach, 4C, Social Moov.
  • Someone with an infectious energy, positivity and can-do attitude
