A little bit about the role:

The client I am exclusively representing are a multi award winning independent media agency, with vibrant and colourful offices/as well as a fun and dynamic team based in the heart of central London. They live and breathe communications and the delivery of those communications to a specific demographic of audience across the entire world.

The role of Content Specialist will sit within a sub-division of the agency who are dedicated to carefully selecting, evolving, and delivering content across multiple terrains and multiple outlets: Cinema, TV, YouTube, and Connected TV. The role itself is for the sub-division of the agency with a focus on integration within the wider business itself.

This is a relatively new, fiercely ambitious, and exciting department, with a start up mentality, that
has a very strong work ethic.

I am therefore on the hunt for and I quote my client: “an outgoing, confident, consumer focused content specialist” with at least 2 – 3 years experience, that’s come from either publisher, media agency, media owner, or video sharing platform side!

The candidate will be working across the Entertainment side of the agency, aiding and advancing the roll out of content distribution initiatives.

The opportunity of Content Specialist will have a core focus and it goes as follows:

  • Spearhead the channel management of YouTube channels on behalf of the brands the agency works with
  • For each of the distribution initiatives, you must be able to create and manage: a sharp path, content calendar, bank of audio video/assets of marketing
  • Consistently monetize/optimize the viewership/subscribers, whilst utilizing on and new/relevant data/trends/reports
  • Assist the wider team in identifying any new prospects of new channel distribution initiatives
  • Keep up to date with the media landscape and proactively seek out any new commercial opportunities
  • Training shall be provided if the candidate doesn’t have this but it would be a huge bonus if they do
  • Manage the certification/in-cinema physical distribution processes
  • Be in the know how for trends in the content and social arena that translate into event cinema opportunities
  • Grow a network across exhibitors/suppliers/fellow distributors
  • Develop a clear and concise understanding of the wider industry and it’s fortunes
  • Oversee prep and deck material which is required for the brand the agency work with as well as internal meetings
  • Be an entertainment champion for the business
  • Recommend and deliver upon any new ways of working which in return support the wider vision of the agency and where they are heading
  • Establish, maintain and build upon internal and external relationships and be the face of the agency’s division
  • Hunt out new content distribution opportunities by staying up to date with news/social platforms/events
Skills/behaviours needed for the Content Specialist:
  • Experience with social media channel management/i.e. YouTube/management systems
  • Experience in a Multi-stakeholder environment
  • Unique content/editorial flair and spirit with an understanding of brand/design and layout too
  • Great knowledge of insight software such as GA to analyse data/research/trends
  • Have a passion for pitching to clients at any level
  • Confidence, a certain poise/way you hold yourself/be able to command a room
  • Strong building of deck/presentation abilities
  • Ability to work solo and as part of a team
  • High level of computer literacy across all Microsoft Suites
  • Ability to juggle many plates and wear many hats
  • High EI, which enables you to interact with a variety of different personalities, not afraid to challenge or follow through on something – both verbally and written
  • Keen eye and attention for detail
  • Management of one’s time/organized and have a strong business acumen
Desired skills:
  • Previous experience across the entertainment sector would be advantageous
  • Another language
  • Experience with international territories
  • Basic video editing skills/high interest in learning or developing that
