This is an excellent opportunity to develop your analytical and strategic skills, as well as demonstrate expertise in one of the fastest growing online channels of 2020-21, according to the IAB. You’ll join the agency as a manager, overseeing performance output and driving excellence in Affiliate Marketing on one of our biggest accounts.
You’ll use your experience as a digital specialist, working as a key part of a wider activation team to develop integrated performance campaigns, whilst ensuring delivery against client business objectives.
You will report into an AD and will line manage an Affiliate Executive so will be supported fully across your client portfolio. As a manager, you will need to train, mentor, and develop your Executive, ensuring they deliver to the very highest standards within the channel.
Key Responsibilities:
Capability (specialism, technical knowledge)
- Proven experience working on affiliate campaigns for clients. Experience working across international clients & Lead Generation is a bonus
- Generating reports and providing analysis on performance, ensuring commentary is accurate and insightful with a view to improving activity
- Presenting confidently and competently, both internally and externally, on a range of topics
- Developing creative and innovative client strategies in line with a range of success metrics
- Building relevant and comprehensive client roadmaps to help achieve success
- Ensuring that you and your clients are up to date with all technology and tracking optimisations, and that all campaigns make the best use of these
- An expert in using affiliate platforms, able to quickly extract information and train junior members of the team
- You will be able to put forward recommendations and forecasts outside of CPA/CPL and showcase to the client how this activity contributes to their KPIs
- Producing competitor benchmarks for key Advertisers, while proactively advising on industry trends and identifying opportunities for merchants
- Independently manage personal development plans for one direct report, ensuring SMART objectives are set
- Ensure your direct reports have timely appraisals, and that these are logged into the HR portal
- Develop affiliate expertise, tech knowledge and all-round skill set of your direct report
- Provide regular support and advice to help progress your direct report
- Provide clear and defined roles and responsibilities for your direct report
- You will have good relationships with key partners and be up to date on their latest products
- You will be able to work with other digital teams and feel comfortable discussing how affiliates and lead generation fits into the overall marketing mix
- Regular client calls and the ability to be reactive and supportive of client goals
- Optimising existing publisher relationships and recruiting new and exciting publisher opportunities for advertisers
- 2+ years’ experience in a relevant affiliate/performance marketing role
- Strong communicator and comfortable speaking to clients
- Experience presenting commercial content to internal and external stakeholders
- Strong experience across MS Office, particularly with Excel and PowerPoint
- A team player, but able to work independently when required
- Proactive and driven to improve the programmes you work on and develop your own skills and understanding
- Professional and with a proven track record of successful client and team relationship building, including strong networking skills
