The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Incorporation of agency planning tools into the planning recommendations.
- Manage and lead planning outputs across all channels; working with strategy, trading and special business units.
- Support the Planning Director and Client Director by managing day to day work flow;
- Ensure team WIPs (Planning/Trading) are scheduled and actions allocated responsibilities post WIP.
- Drive a collaborative approach with all department to develop the best media solutions.
- Ensure a strong relationship with all media partners to remain across key/upcoming opportunities and trends;
- Participate in agency and group Planning initiatives ensuring best practice.
- Support Planning Director in major client planning projects across client alignment
- Oversee financial process alongside the Senior Trading Manager to ensure monthly invoicing is in-line with the plan
- Lead planning recommendations for large- and small-scale campaigns with heavy investment across all channels
- 5+ years media experience, ideally within a planning capacity. Knowledge and understanding of digital is preferable.
- Up to date with UK and global market trends and have an educated point of view of the impact it has on their client’s business and/or approach to the planning craft.
- Confident in the principles of media strategy and how that translates into media recommendations.
- Ability to forge strong relationships with media partners to remain across key/upcoming opportunities and trends.
- Previous management experience - the Senior Planning Manager role will be responsible for the development and growth of a Planning Manager; whilst assisting in the development of a Trader and Executive with the Senior Trading Manager.
- Strong client management and presentation skills. Have the ability to talk about media recommendation in a client friendly way.
- Enthusiastic about the planning craft to champion best practice internally.
- Solid financial management skills to oversee financial processes internally.
