Business Development Director - Digital Agency

Business Development Director
Salary - £90,000 - £110,000

International Digital Agency with an office in London.

As Business Development Director you will work to expand the agency's client base, as well as developing opportunities for growth with our existing clients. Working with the UK Managing Director and Business Development team, you will contribute to the fast-growth of the agency through lead generation, prospect development, among other sources. The role involves also a strong collaboration with our Marketing and Media teams, as well as other functions within the group.

The Role
  • Identify and attend key industry events in the UK and Europe to initiate and nurture prospects
  • Lead agency’s responses to RFIs and RFPs, managing the pitch process end-to-end from RFI, to intermediary management, pitch design and internal set up as well as the final presentation
  • Work alongside the Go-To-Market, Media, Creative and Marketing teams on the management of all credential documents, ensuring we have the latest case studies, discipline examples and best work to share in pitch processes
  • Work with the creative team to develop high quality pitch ready artwork and video content for written responses and final pitch presentations
  • Support the UK Managing Director in the largest pitch processes by leading on all elements of the process, taking ownership of deliverables and managing the stakeholders
  • Create and manage network of contacts to ensure the agency is considered by prospects for RFPs and opportunities
  • Be the main point of contact with intermediaries, suppliers and other partner companies
  • Lead the onboarding process for new clients until handover
  • Maximise our pitch conversion rate by engaging the key people and skill sets within the group
  • Lead program to engage with existing clients, identifying and developing growth ideas
  • Lead engagement with Media and Marketing teams from a business development angle
  • Help build, maintain and improve business development process
  • Liaise with teams in USA and Europe to ensure global collaboration
  • Input to negotiations on project pricing and terms
  • Run client development planning process
Desirable Experience
  • Ideally 8+ years’ experience in the media and advertising sector
  • Senior Client or Client Services background preferable
  • General business management and leadership experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Outstanding project management skills to handle multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Results orientated and well-structured
  • Innovative and creative thinker with the ability to develop new revenue streams
  • Charismatic and credible with key clients to inspire confidence, as well as with internal teams and business leaders
  • Strong collaboration skills, engaging colleagues across the group effectively
  • A thorough understanding of the success drivers of our business
  • Deep and genuine passion for understanding client’s business challenges and opportunities
  • Has a valid permit to live and work in the UK
