Planning Manager - Planning, Creative & Insight

An Independent Media, activation and data agency are hiring for a Planning Manager to join a growing and successful team.

As a Planning Manager, you will be responsible for leading the planning and strategic development of connected commerce marketing proposals and campaigns across the group. You will observe the industry space that we operate within and keep on top of market trends to inform, improve & differentiate campaigns to accelerate and embed the vision.

Core Activities:
  • Work with others internally to craft a compelling story for our clients, clearly demonstrating our approach and rationale, supported by research and data.
  • Build detailed media plans for our clients – this will be focused on determining the optimum use of their media budgets, allocating funding across retailers, devising a cohesive strategy and identifying the right media mix.
  • Run internal workshops with colleagues to develop insight-led, idea-driven marketing campaigns for our clients.
  • Provide consultancy to our clients across a diverse range of subject matters (anything from how to set up a shopper marketing team, to how to attract incremental marketing funding for retailers).
  • Work closely with your colleagues in the Planning, Creative and Insight departments, leveraging their expertise to fuel our plans.
  • Support more junior members of the team by being the point of contact for queries and sharing your knowledge with them.
Desirable Experience:
  • A proven track record in creating marketing plans for brands that have delivered results.
  • The ability to work at pace, across multiple projects and effectively manage your workload with clear organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Highly numerate and able to analyse data to glean relevant insights.
  • Experience in a growing FMCG, commerce or retail environment.
  • A good balance of creativity and commerciality.
  • The ability to build and nurture relationships with both internal and external stakeholders using effective communication and strong influencing skills.
