Paid Social Account Director - Leading App

This is an exciting position within Paid Social for an Account Director, working on one of this Media agency's top clients. As part of the role, you’ll be feeding into two well-established and dynamic teams – your direct team in which you’re supported with Paid Social specialists across all levels and a dedicated client planning team.

Your focus will be to lead on campaign responses, build relationships to the client team and client by directing on the day to day deliverables of your team as well as delivering and keeping the finance and monthly reconciliation in order. Your team will consist of one dedicated Manager and one dedicated Executive. You will report into the Paid Social Business Director.

As part of the role and with your team, you’ll be expected to manage key pieces of business, providing a superior service and deliver innovative paid social solutions.  Working with your Manager, you will apply your knowledge of paid social to identify the most appropriate formats, targeting and platforms to help achieve business outcomes.

  • Direct the Paid Social media activity.
  • Line manage two members of the team and ensure ongoing training and development
  • Work directly and closely with clients to develop plans, manage issues and maintain positive relationships
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders and strong ability to prioritize work and be communicative and upright when workload seems unachievable
  • Ensure client work is of high quality, delivered to brief, deadline, budget and submitted to awards
  • Own the relationship with key partners (e.g. Facebook) and ensure quality execution across the team
  • Brings innovative, inspiring, and potentially award-winning thinking to the team and client
  • Helps evangelize the clients around key topics, especially our offering and the future of social media
  • When asked, participates in new business opportunities to drive new revenue
  • Helps lead and execute on the annual client strategy and planning to ensure the best work
  • Utilises our tech partners and tools to provide data and insight to all client strategy and planning as well as to ensure smart and consistent measurement and delivery
  • Challenge client with innovative thinking and formats
  • Experience in setting up Facebook and Instagram campaigns essential. We also work across Snapchat, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and TikTok.
  • Self-starter with proactive attitude to work. Enjoys working independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proven knowledge of and expertise in creating social media plans, paid activation, optimisation, and reporting.
  • Clear communication skills with a strong ability to present ideas with conviction and gravitas.
  • Experience of managing expectations of client team and client.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in Paid Social, ideally in media agencies.
