Strategy Executive, entry level - Global FMCG client

The Role

The Strategy Executive will be part of a dedicated strategy and innovation team, working with the Global Strategy Director and Strategist to develop global media strategies, as well as working with the local markets to guide local implementation and share best practice and learning. This role is based within an incredible group, at one of their world reknown agencies. 
The Ideal Candidate Will
  • Support Global Strategy Director and Strategist in the development of global communication strategies. In collaboration with local markets to inform creative development and local media implementation.
  • Working with specialist functions within The Agency, especially the insights and innovation specialists, to create compelling audience and channel insights
  • Build relationships with local agency offices
  • Provide regular inspiration through understanding trends and desktop research, be our ‘case study library’.
  • Provide continued communication and active support to the team in all issues related to BET development
Essential Criteria
  • Excel skills to update our current reports
  • Previous experience using media tools such as TGI, Emarketer, WARC, etc.
  • Ability to manage many projects/tasks at once to meet deadlines
  • Excellence in communication, presentation and team building to engage with teams based in other countries. 
  • Understands data and can represent it accurately, to draw compelling insights from the findings.
  • Clear communication (both upwards and outwards) to ensure that projects progress in advance of upcoming deadlines
  • Creative approach to problem solving; always looking for improvements to the way things are done and using logical and well-informed responses to present recommendations
  • Calm approach to managing urgent deadlines, with enthusiasm and interest to go beyond the task
  • Initiative is key, proactively suggesting new projects or next steps to keep tasks moving.

  • Experience and Capabilities: Unilever is one of the largest and progressive marketing and media organisations in the world. We are looking for an individual with a positive, enthusiastic can-do attitude. A team player who is willing to learn about the world of global media, FMCG.
  • Knowledge of the agency: Accelerate knowledge of the agency, including the skills and services available and the key people who deliver those services. Across the wider Unilever Central Team, The regional/local Centres of Excellence and the network.
  • Awareness and understanding of research tools, including  proprietary tools, syndicated services and publicly available data.
  • Partners and Suppliers:  Up to date knowledge of media owners, content owners, production agencies, research companies and other suppliers which the agency or our clients can partner with.
