Job Description

This leading technical production house has an impressive client list and this has led to the company experiencing strong and consistent levels of growth. This has led to an even busier and more productive warehouse so the company is now looking for a proactive and talented person to fulfil the role of Warehouse Shift Leader to assist the Warehouse |Manager with overall operation of the warehouse facility.

About You
To be considered for this role it is essential that you have up to date practical working knowledge of live event technology covering Audio, AV/data, lighting systems and related equipment. You will be able to demonstrate a proven level of experience operating testing and maintaining the aforementioned equipment along  with either certification or training with First Aid ,PAT Testing plus  service inspection and management of lifting equipment. You have an up to date level of knowledge in respect of H&S requirements and you can clearly show an understanding of industry best practice. You have the character to act on your own initiative and you are comfortable working with and leading a cohesive team. It goes without saying that your levels of communication with all people is at a high standard and you are someone who always looks to develop themselves.

The Role
Working closely with the Warehouse Manager from their main office on the Kent/London border  you will ensure that the daily operation and delivery of the warehouse function meets and exceeds business expectations. This will involve management of inventory, maintaining the organisations H&S obligations, leadership of the Warehouse team on shift, supervision of equipment prep, dispatch and scheduling of driver dispatch. You will be responsible for making sure significant procedures are adhered to covering equipment servicing, PAT Testing, quality control and taking the lead on LOLER and PUWER testing. You will provide support to the Senior Technicians and Project Teams in respect of equipment needs overseeing their requirements and escalating any technical issues as required. The day to day management of the Warehouse Team will be under your control and you will be expected to provide support development and advice to technicians. Depending on the evolving needs of the business you will be on call to cover agreed periods and this may involve weekend, evening and overnight work.
