With offices across three continents, this lighting manufacturer has grown from strength to strength gaining a fantastic reputation for technical innovation, product design, engineering, outstanding support and service to lighting industry professionals and their products are seen as a  benchmark for the industry. The company provides a range of lighting control solutions for entertainment and architectural projects and the European office is now looking for knowledgeable Business Development Manager to join their European sales team.

The Role
The position will see you working from their European office just outside the City of London where you will work with a cohesive, supportive and passionate team. You will have the autonomy to manage and grow the UK and Ireland territory using various sales and communication channels to market and sell a range of lighting control products to the entertainment and architectural world, with a strong strategic focus on design, project and specification work as well as taking technical enquires to realistic and achievable sales opportunities. The position will also see you acting as a company ambassador at key industry trade shows helping to continue the growing global awareness of the company’s brand and products.

What you need to have
You are able to support a strong insight and understanding of the entertainment and architectural lighting sector with:
  • A proven record of business development, revenue generation and achieving (or better still) exceeding targets.
  • Successful  experience of working with specifiers
  • Proven experience of managing and winning a tender process
  • New business generation
  • A strong commercial and strategic outlook
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail
  • The ability to work on your own initiative
