Job Description

I’m currently recruiting for a Client Services Account Director to join this award winning performance digital agency, with impressive annual £Multimillion billings. These guys have an amazing track record in delivering a full range of digital marketing solutions across PPC, SEO, Programmatic Display, Social, CRO, Analytics and content.

The role:

-Lead the client team towards delivering compelling and inspiring marketing solutions
-Develop client relationship by acting as a strategic partner
-Cross and up-sell capabilities whilst looking for new opportunities
-Challenge and inspire the client
-Responsible for ensuring that a strategic programme is made
-Finalise programme activity and budget with client
-Understand fully the client’s business including economic levers, industry, organisation and needs
-Direct account team activity to ensure high quality standards
-Ensure staff ownership and responsibility for projects
-Be the brand guardian of the client within the agency
-Fully understand the creative work, critique and challenge the product
-Maintain a strategic overview of account, and proactively advise client on new issues
-Run and contribute to strategic planning meetings with client
-Keep abreast of outside issues and events
-Instigate brainstorms to develop the strategic, creative direction of accounts
-Have financial ownership of your ‘business
-Provide regular monthly updates to the forecast for your accounts
-Review of actual vs. target with Head of Client Services
-Be responsible for account/project profitability and maintaining agreed fee income
-Ensure the correct utilisation of the levels within the team
-Take responsibility for negotiating and establishing financial arrangements with client
-Spot early warning of issues
-Obtain client approval for the SOW, estimate and schedule of all projects
-Ensure resourcing within the account is appropriate at all times
-Ensure that you have the ‘best’ team for the job
-Work with finance to keep aged debt low and invoicing up to date
-Support new business development


-A good working knowledge of different digital marketing channels
-Knowledge of Search Marketing, Programmatic Display, Analytics, SEO, etc
-Strong understanding of multi-channel marketing
-Strong understanding of project management
-Demonstrated experience of developing acquisition and retention campaigns
-Ability to present and sell in creative services
-Comfortable with email, banner creation, website design & build etc
-Ability to cross and up-sell, credibility to discuss opportunities across different disciplines
-Experience of developing and executing online marketing campaigns, both acquisition and retention
-In-depth knowledge of CRM disciplines
-Experience managing and growing strong client relationships
-Possession of excellent written, oral and presentation skills
-Digital agency experience is highly desirable
-Exposure to ATL marketing is desirable
-Experience of new business development is desirable
