Job Description

My client is one the fastest growing companies in its market, hosting trade shows for the some of most recognisable brands today. Their rapid growth has made the need for Data control essential to the business and is aggressively growing their Data teams. This position is ideal for an ambitious Masters student or someone with a couple of years experience and looking to grow their skills and develop.

The Role:

Working to support the data manager the data analyst would work across the business with specific attention placed on marketing data.

Duties would include:

-       Data imports / exports from the Sales CRM system

-       Marketing database model optimisation and streamlining

-       Online research into company market to understand how data Insights can benefit the business

-       Excel based analysis on market differentials 

-       Insight driven report creation for the Sale, Marketing and Telemarketing departments

-       Re-structuring of external data sources

-       Dataset consolidation

-       Support on-site at exhibitions when required

Relevant work experience would be beneficial. As a growing company they are relying more and more on leveraging data in its events. Increasingly this focus means turning to internal development work and therefore anyone with the aspiration to learn a programming language will be supported.


Required Skills:

-          Highly computer literate

-          Quick assimilation of information with a motivation to learn

-          Good pattern recognition

-          Excellent Excel skills (countif / sumif / vlookup) etc

-          Solid time management

-          Works well on projects as part of a team and focused when working individually

-          Good numerical skills

-          Strong online research skills

-          Ability to work with technical and non-technical colleagues

Beneficial Skills:

-          SQL Experience

-          Salesforce

-          Exposure to Python programming

-          VBA programming exposure – macro recorder level

-          MS Access usage building queries
