Job Description

I am looking for a self-motivated, passionate and talented Environment Artist to join a brilliant team at a AAA studio. The studio is currently working on an out-of-this-world sci-fi multiplayer, space trading and combat title.

You will be able to apply your expertise, working in high-poly modular environments. Working closely with designers, you will play a key role in laying out and finishing props, materials and textures. You will facilitate the formation of beautiful worlds.

Responsibilities:
  • Creating game ready environmental models
  • Build out levels and environments in the editor
  • Creating realistic PBR shaders
  • Work independently on asset sets and oversee level art
  • Work closely with Level Lead, Lead Environment Artist and Level Design department
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Outstanding portfolio demonstrating exceptional modelling skills and realism
  • Experience creating high quality environments for AAA titles
  • Strong working knowledge of 3DS Max, Photoshop, Substance/Quixel packages
  • Good understanding of effective asset creation and optimisation
  • Experience applying and tweaking shaders
  • Excellent sense of form, mass and volume
Desired Characteristics:
  • CryEngine experience
  • Hard surface modelling experience
  • Zbrush or Mudbox experience
