You will have the aptitude for working with applications and systems to undertake analysis, diagnosis and resolution of staff problems which can vary from straightforward to more complicated technical issues. You must have good technical knowledge and be able to understand the problem and explain the solution. This role can be very demanding so you must be resilient and pay attention to detail. You must have at least 1 years experience in IT Support.
As an IT support Technician, you will provide 1st and 2nd line support for any technical in-house queries. This can vary from troubleshooting IT related problems from software to hardware such as Computers, Laptops, Printers and iPads. You’ll need to take ownership of user problems communicate progress in a timely manner. If for any reason problems cannot be resolved in house, you will need to arrange external technical support. Communication is key in this role so you must attentive and organised.
- Bachelors or equivalent Bachelor’s Degree in IT
- MCP certification would be desirable
- An ITIL qualification is preferable but not essential
