Lead Character Artist wanted for award winning studio

Crazy for Character Art? Looking to spearhead the next AAA title? We’re looking for a Lead Character Artist for an outstanding studio with a track record of delivering acclaimed titles across next gen and VR. The successful Lead Character Artist will have limitless drive and a track record of accomplishment in the Game industry. You will collaborate with the Art Director and Production team to shape and deliver the vision for this AAA release.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical and artistic direction and collaborate with the team to execute Art Director’s vision
  • Interface with Outsourcing Managers and Level designers to ensure exceptional world design and functionality
  • Consolidating asset implementation in line with the product requirements
  • Provide mentorship and direction to team members as Lead Character Artist with focus on skills and workflow
Essential Requirements:
  • 5 Years of experience in Industry, strong proficiency of toolsets within game creation (Substance, Zbrush, Quixel etc)
  • You have a strong communicative nature, exhibiting the ability to lead teams and provide direction
  • You’re skilled in the use of Maya (or similar) and PBR Shading
  • Must have exceptional knowledge of normal map creation/baking process
  • Have deep knowledge of Game Engines and dedicated platform budget requirements
Additional Desirable Skills:
  • Track record of creative thinking and problem solving, including tact and diplomacy skills
  • Exceptional drive and self-motivation, ability to inspire in Lead Character Artist capacity
  • You’ve contributed to shipped AAA titles
  • You have an understanding of the functions and experience of collaborating with other departments (concept artists, programmers)
