Job Description

An innovative and exceptional opportunity has arisen to work as a Senior SEO Tech Consultant within a global digital marketing agency. They are passionate about technology and data and have an impressive catalogue of household name clients. The SEO Consultant will be the senior point of contact for the accounts and have exceptional in depth knowledge of SEO strategies, whilst staying up to date with new tools and technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Technical SEO Director in ideation of new tools and products
  • SEO testing on live sites - collate, plan and execute tests from wider SEO team
  • Support the Technical SEO Director with internal and external training, and delivering advanced technical SEO sessions for clients
  • Devise SEO applications from data models and machine learning
  • Pro-actively diagnose advanced technical SEO issues on clients sites
  • Plan and schedule individual SEO projects within the overall client accounts for which you have responsibility
  • Assist in creating and delivering client pitches
  • Participate in/prepare technical training and workshops
  • Negative SEO - identify attacks and provide solutions
  • Management skills - ability to manage team in line manager’s absence
  • Develop other SEOs in their technical skillsets
Competencies
  • Possess commercial awareness and be able to identify problems and reach resolutions
  • Ability to write a full technical audit & strategy
  • Advanced HTML for SEO – writing and reading
  • CSS, PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, Python & Linux basics
  • Advanced Excel skills – ability to manipulate large data sets
  • Ability to interpret & provide insight into server logs
  • Ability to understand and write basic Regex
  • Understanding of server side commands to include redirects
  • Understanding of dynamic content – query strings, client-side serving
  • Good knowledge popular CMS' and web frameworks and their strengths and weaknesses
  • International SEO – CCTLDs, markup, sitemaps and WMT implementation
  • Disavow and Reconsideration – reviewing and submissions
  • Content gap analysis – missing or weak content areas
  • SEO & Paid Media - an understanding in how both disciplines can work together to drive effective SEM strategies
  • Analytics – use and implementation
  • Attribution – understanding of popular models and tools
  • CRO – understanding of methods and tools
  • Understanding of all other online and offline channels (display, affiliates, social, print, TV, email) and their effects on SEO
  • Able to communicate long term industry and search predictions
