Programmer - Leamington Spa – Full-time

Creative Personnel have a magnificent opportunity to work with one of our most impressive clients within the games industry. Our client is looking for a Programmer to work at the Leamington Spa studio. As a part of the role you will report to the Lead Programmer and help support the rest of your team. In addition you will be responsible for programming game systems and working with other programmers to solve technical problems. This role provides you with a superb opportunity to progress within the company.

Required skills:
  • 2+ Years of C/C++ programming
  • Write clear, maintainable, portable code
  • Familiarity with source control systems (Perforce and git)
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Passion for developing and playing games
  • Strong communication skills
  • Interested in keeping skills up to date
  • Ability to estimate work complexity and time
  • Fluent in English
Helpful to have:
  • Professional game development experience
  • Experience developing for mobile platforms
  • Experience with multi-platform development
  • Network programming experience
  • Performance analysis, profiling and optimisation techniques
  • Knowledge of 3D maths and rendering algorithms
  • Low level understanding / familiarity with processor architectures
  • Physics programming
  • AI programming
  • C++11 familiarity
  • C#
  • Java
  • Arm assembly
  • Knowledge of common graphics APIs (OpenGL/ES, Metal, Vulkan, DirectX)
  • Familiarity with shader languages
  • Unreal Engine experience
  • Unity experience
