Senior Media Account Executive

Reporting To: Account Manager

London

The Role:

Working on one of this global agencies largest accounts; this is an exciting position as a Senior Client Planning Executive. This role sits within the Client Planning Team, supporting the Managers, Account Directors and Business Directors in all day to day activity, with the primary objective of planning across the wide media landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning
  • The planning of communications campaigns across all media channels, from insight generation, to media strategy, media implementation and campaign management, to measurement / effectiveness (both in flight and post campaign)
  • Play a pivotal role in the development and presentation of strategic and implementational responses to briefs to a range of clients
  • Demonstrate ambition for delivering media innovation (e.g. new platforms, media firsts etc.)
  • Making and maintaining good contacts with media owners
  • Managing client relationships to build respect and trust in your judgement
  • Keeping on top of all things finance – from putting campaigns on the booking system, to checking buyers’ bookings against plans to confidently informing ADs/BDs when POs can be closed once the campaigns have been reconciled
People Management
  • Management of Planning Intern and Account Executive; delegating work to deliver high quality work in a timely manner
  • Monitor day to day aspects of junior employees’ work to ensure high quality output and manage the group’s workload
  • Help benchmarks for personal development within team
  • Provide on the job training and learning opportunities for junior team members
  • Integration
  • Work smoothly to deliver integrated thinking across Creative & Content, Campaign Management and Marketing Effectiveness
  • Manage clients effectively on a day to day basis
  • Support Account Directors and Business Director
  • Manage Planning Intern and Account Executive
Ideal Experience
  • Good numerical skills, people skills and common sense
  • Passionate about media

  • A strong understanding of the overall media landscape, the role of each media, strengths/weaknesses and opportunities
  • Developing a good relationship with clients, ensure that all deadlines are met and requests are dealt with swiftly and professionally
  • Display a genuine willingness to learn and work hard to achieve goals and challenges
