SENIOR / Lead Games PROGRAMMER (UNREAL)

Our client is an international video game developer with a 17 year track record,  that designs and develops console games and mobile top-10 games with an average rating of 4.5 / 5 and 20M installs on average.


We are looking for a senior programmer that is highly motivated to create high quality games in Unreal, together with the existing team of junior engineers and veteran engineering professionals.


REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent of training/experience
  • Experience with multiplayer functionality
  • Experience with back-end programming
  • Familiar with console platform development, incl. TRC/XR
  • Familiar with user authentication and cloud services.
  • Very experienced/High proficiency in C++
  • Has knowledge of Software Architecture Fundamentals in object-oriented design and data structures
  • Passionate about code quality and knowledge on how to raise the code standard
  • Experience with creating tools and/or plug-ins for pipeline improvement.
  • + 5 years of experience in the game industry
  • In depth knowledge of UE4

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Excellent creative problem solving skills where you value the input from producers, product owner, coworkers and clients
  • Able to give constructive feedback, motivate a team and helping them achieve their highest potential
  • Extended knowledge of how to work within multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and able to work independently with a high level of autonomy

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • The ambition to grow into a lead position
  • Experience with SCRUM / Agile development
  • Experience with version control software such as SVN or P4
  • Experience with shipping a game on a console platform (PS/XBOX etc.)
  • Experience with libraries like Photon or Playfab is a plus
