Senior UI Artist

An award-winning Studio is searching for their next UI Artist. Are you driven, passionate, and have a desire to work at a truly dynamic and forward facing studio? This UI Artist role is for you! The successful UI Artist will be self-motivated, have a burning passion for video games and will be responsive to direction and working to a brief. You will be striving to deliver exceptional results in accordance with the project timeframe.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Creation and implementation of Game UI in accordance with game design, technical and aesthetic guidelines.
  • Design, export and implementation of 2D Textures/icons
  • Creating, animating and exporting working interface files for use in game
  • Additional work on 3D assets where specified with packages provided
  • Where required, interfacing with environment team to create bespoke in-game textures (i.e. logos, posters)
  • Occasionally working on promotional content and other company-based commissions for internal and external purposes
  • Liaising with Publishing where necessary to ensure artwork implemented has been properly vetted via legal / compliance channels
  • Making sure any texture assets are future-proofed for higher res platforms
  • Understanding you may be working on several projects and will have to prioritise accordingly
  • Respond with initiative to project changes / communicate according feedback for UI
  • Collaboratively working with Art teams to execute project vision and voicing relevant ideas for UI
  • Where required, partake in in-house training and industry best practises for software
Skills required:
  • Demonstrable UI skills via CV/Portfolio
  • Excellent communicator and organisationally sound
  • Program proficiencies: Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects, Unity and Maya
  • Track record of creative and artistic quality
  • Ability to work under pressure and stick to deadlines and timeframes

  • Practical and methodical approach to both technical and creative problem solving
  • Ability to work under, and thrive under a constantly shifting, dynamic environment
  • Flexibility in accordance with pipeline changes, initiative to improve and maintain a coherent team structure
