Job Description

My client is one of the fastest growing, and most well respected SEO agencies globally. As a result of continued growth they are now looking to take on highly technical SEO Consultant to service their international blue chip client base. This hybrid role encompasses being both a senior point of contact for high value clients, as well as the focal point of technical SEO within the Agency. You will assist the Technical SEO Director in diagnosing complex technical site issues and use your in depth knowledge of technical SEO to help clients justify high-level technical changes, as well as help define how clients’ SEO strategies can be delivered for maximum return. Outside of client work, you will have the opportunity to hone your technical SEO knowledge and be in possession of your own training budget to aid technical development.


The role:

-A senior point of contact for client accounts
-Support Technical SEO Director in ideation of new tools and products
-Data monitoring and reporting
-SEO testing on live sites
-Collate, plan and execute tests from wider SEO team
-Stay up to date on new tools and technologies
-Support the Technical SEO Director with training
-Support in delivering advanced tech SEO sessions for clients
-Devise SEO applications from data models and machine learning
-Pro-actively diagnose advanced technical SEO issues on clients sites
-Participate in/prepare technical training and workshops
-Speak at conferences (with supervision)
-Negative SEO - identify attacks and provide solutions
-Develop other SEOs in their technical skillsets


Skills:

-Possess commercial awareness and identify problems
-Ability to write a full technical audit & strategy
-Advanced HTML for SEO – writing and reading
-CSS, PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, Python & Linux basics
-Advanced Excel skills – ability to manipulate large data sets
-Ability to interpret & provide insight into server logs
-Ability to understand and write basic Regex
-Understanding of server side commands to include redirects
-Understanding of dynamic content – query strings, client-side serving
-Good knowledge popular CMS' and their strengths and weaknesses
-International SEO – CCTLDs, markup, sitemaps and WMT
-Disavow and Reconsideration – reviewing and submissions
-Content gap analysis – missing or weak content areas
-SEO & Paid Media - an understanding of how both work together
-Analytics – use and implementation
-Attribution – understanding of popular models and tools
-CRO – understanding of methods and tools
-Understanding of other channels (display, affiliates, social, print, TV, email)
