JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a creative and forward-thinking Marketing Director who will sit within the Senior Leadership team and be our figurehead for delivering day to day marketing activities, whilst developing and delivering the group marketing business plan. You will continue to build our existing platform across all marketing disciplines and evolve our digital footprint.

We are looking for a champion marketeer bringing together an alignment with sales led activity, designing cost effective ways of improving ROI and delivering returns whilst encouraging recruitment marketing best practice in collaboration with senior stakeholders.

The key success for this role is to optimise the skills of the marketing team, be a great people manager and deliver day to day outcomes and marketing know-how across our sectors whilst working on group marketing initiatives. You will need to manage resources locally and internationally and be instrumental in developing our brand internationally. You’ll shape the approach, take us forward and be unrelenting in the delivery of key results.

Core responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

Provide day-to-day effective management and leadership for the Marketing team (today 4 in the team). Ensure the teams deliver excellence in idea creation, execution and content / digital infrastructure. Working on key agreed deliverables you will encourage the team to remain accountable. Review pipeline, resolve challenges, and present possible solutions. Deliver best practice as well as improve current processes and procedures to enhanced outputs in partnership with sales operations.

Lead the development and execution of our media and marketing plans, working closely with the senior management team, stakeholders, external agencies, to create an effective and efficient marketing strategy focused on growing our audiences and employer brand. Manage conception, development, and implementation with campaign concepts, and promotional programs to drive awareness and sales.

Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and sector trends in order to translate results into actionable insights for the marketing team. Lead this into tactical execution of designing the test/control segmentation, implementation of tests, results reporting, analysis, and make recommendations.

Development of digital marketing programmes, including PPC, SEO, email marketing, website optimisation and social media. Work cross-channel to bring campaigns to life - both online and offline. Lead discovery of video, display and social ecosystems, identifying new opportunities and ways of connecting with our audiences.

Comfortable in being in an integral role fostering and driving a culture of co-creation and collaboration working with other Business Directors and Departments, looking for opportunities and solutions from challenges.

Identifying short-term and long-term planning, budget, and resource needs, including the development and management of an annual marketing budget, expenditure spending, and other financial considerations.

SKILLS

Our three must haves include:-

  • Proven experience in planning, managing and leading an internal marketing team alongside external resources within a marketing department including design / content / digital / internal comms disciplines -
  • Knowledge in Paid Media / SEO and eCRM is required showcasing experience in delivering cross channel digital marketing projects and campaigns within a service orientated company/environment.
  • Experience in ideation and delivering marketing concepts / strategy to senior stakeholders. Good experience in stakeholder management.

Three areas of Interest should include:-

  • Marketing automation and content marketing
  • Being able to use or network through media, agency or PR contacts
  • Sales enablement

Non-essential experience would include (nice to have):

  • Have had exposure to recruitment marketing or worked in the Staffing / Recruitment Industry
  • Worked in an agency and inhouse environment to understand both dynamics
  • Project management tools
